Ross Buckley is a Scientia Professor, School of Private and Commercial Law, at the University of New South Wales and an Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow. His key research areas include the regulation of fintech and tokenised currencies and assets. He has written seven books and over 200 journal articles, book chapters and major reports. He has twice been a Fulbright Scholar, at Yale and Duke universities.

Professor Buckley has consulted to government departments and regulators in many nations and advised and written reports for some 40 international institutions, including the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, Asian Development Bank, Bank for International Settlements, European Commission and United Nations Capital Development Fund.
