Non-executive Member – Payments System Board Deborah Ralston

Deborah Ralston has more than 25 years of board-level experience in education, banking, superannuation and fintech sectors. Her current appointments include Guardian of the Future Fund, non-executive director of the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre, and Chair of the Household Capital Advisory Board.

She has held senior leadership and research roles in Australian universities, most recently as the Executive Director of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies.

Dr Ralston’s expertise in public policy has been reflected in appointments to the Australian Government’s Retirement Income Review Panel, the Comprehensive Income Products for Retirement Framework Advisory Committee and as inaugural Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s Digital Finance Advisory Board.

Dr Ralston is currently a Professorial Fellow at Monash University Business School, with research interests in financial regulation and superannuation. She is a Fellow of both CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
