A range of prominent international and Australian academic and policy economists participated in the 2000 conference. Three papers for the conference were written by Bank economists; two were written in Economic Group, and one in System Stability Department. Of the remaining five papers, two were written by well-known international economists, Professor Bradford DeLong from University of California, Berkeley, and Professor Charlie Bean, from the London School of Economics, and three were written by Australian academic economists.
