Assessments

While supervision and oversight of clearing and settlement (CS) facility licensees is ongoing throughout the year, where there are material developments or the Bank has set regulatory priorities for a CS facility licensee, the Bank will expect to review the progress of the licensee against these at a frequency determined under the Bank's policy on its ‘Approach to Supervising and Assessing Clearing and Settlement Facility Licensees’. Under this policy, the Bank may also carry out assessments of CS facility licensee’s compliance with the Financial Stability Standards. The frequency, scope and level of detail of these compliance assessments (if any) is commensurate with the CS facility licensee's systemic importance to the Australian financial system.

It is the Bank's intention to publish its reports on material developments and regulatory priorities for all CS facility licensees, and its compliance assessments of domestic CS facilities that are systemically important in Australia.
