Conference – 2009
Inflation in an Era of Relative Price Shocks
17–18 August 2009
The 2009 conference, jointly hosted by the Reserve Bank of Australia
and the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis at the Australian
National University, considered the substantial rise in global commodity prices
and the decline in the prices of manufactured goods over the
past decade or so. Specifically, it examined the causes and nature
of relative price shocks, the transmission of these shocks
through the economy and how policy-makers respond to relative
price movements.
A
volume,
containing the conference papers
and discussions, was published
on 14 May 2010.
