EFTPOS Benchmark Calculation
(Multilateral Fees)
The Standard on The Setting of Interchange Fees in the EFTPOS System sets out the methodology for calculating the benchmark for multilateral interchange fees in the EFTPOS system. Under the Standard, the multilateral interchange fee benchmark for the EFTPOS System will be the same as the benchmark applying to the Visa Debit System, as varied from time to time, and which is published on the Reserve Bank’s website.
