RBA Economics Competition 2010
The Reserve Bank of Australia sponsors an essay competition for undergraduates studying economics at any accredited university in Australia. The competition is run by the Bank in conjunction with the UNSW Economics Society.
The 2010 Essay
In their essays, students addressed the issues surrounding trends in Australia's
real exchange rate over the past decade.
Winning Essays 2010
- First prize $1,500: Ganesh Viswanath Natraj, the University of Western Australia 497KB
- Second prize $750: George Cunningham, the University of Queensland 528KB
- Best essay from a first year student $500: Ashvini Ravimohan, the University of New South Wales 344KB
These students were presented with their prizes by the Governor at a ceremony at the Reserve Bank of Australia in Sydney on 18 October 2010.
