Exports of Polymer Notes

The advanced technology used in Australian currency notes, with its advantages for anti-counterfeiting, durability and recycling, has attracted considerable interest from other countries.

By the end of 2004, twenty two (22) countries from all major regions of the world were using polymer notes in their national currencies.

To date every polymer note in circulation throughout the world has been printed on Australian-made polymer substrate.
