SENIOR APPOINTMENT

The Reserve Bank today announced the appointment of Ms Michele Bullock to the position of Head of Payments Policy Department. The appointment is effective from 1 February 2007 and follows the appointment of Dr John Veale as head of the Bank’s European Representative Office.

Ms Bullock holds a first class Honours degree in economics from the University of New England and a Masters degree in economics from the London School of Economics. She has had extensive experience within the Reserve Bank in a range of high-level policy positions. Most recently, Ms Bullock has held the position of Chief Manager, Payments Policy Department.
