APPOINTMENT OF HEAD OF FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

The Reserve Bank has announced the appointment of Mr Robert Gilfoyle as Head of its Financial Administration Department. This Department, which is part of the Bank's Corporate Services Group, is responsible for the Bank's accounting functions. The position became vacant with the resignation of Mr Chris Ford from the Bank on 13 March.

Mr Gilfoyle, who holds an Arts degree with a major in accounting from Macquarie University, is a Certified Practising Accountant with over twenty years experience in financial institutions in both Australia and overseas. Most recently, he was employed as Financial Accounting Manager at an Australian regional bank.
