RELEASE ADVICESAustralia has recently subscribed, along with over thirty other countries, to the International Monetary Fund's Special Data Dissemination Standard. This Standard relates to the coverage, periodicity, and timeliness of publication of certain key macro-economic and financial statistics. The Standard requires that adequate notice of statistical releases be provided in the form of "release calendars". The Reserve Bank of Australia is responsible for the publication of certain statistics and will in future issue a media release every Friday, to provide precise dates for expected releases during the next week, and scheduled dates for those expected over the following three months. Expected Release Dates is being issued today and is attached

ForthcomingIn addition to the usual weekly releases, the following releases are expected during the next three months. Release dates will be no later than the dates specified below. Any changes will be notified as far as possible in the weekly schedule.
The following are released daily: Indicative Mid Rates of Selected Commonwealth Government Securities (5.00 pm) Trade-Weighted Index of the Australian Dollar (4.30 pm) All the above data (other than the Reserve Bank of Australia Bulletin and Australian Banking Statistics) are published on various online electronic services.
